Abstract: Now it is important to think about social system for man-machine collaboration because machine and human are existing in the same area. Especially, human behavior should be treated more scientifically as a part of the system. Behavior analysis is a study takes scientific approach for measuring human behavior. The goals of Behavior analysis are 1) prediction and control, 2) analysis and quantitative evaluation, and 3) problem solution of behavior. Here we introduce a principle of Behavior analysis. In addition, we propose application examples and show some experimental reports of Behavior analysis from basic and applied points of view in several research fields.

This organized session aims at discussing such studies. The topics of interest in this organized session include, but are not limited to processing of biomedical signal, image and tensor data obtained by medical equipment and various kinds of sensors. This session also includes multimedia processing related to or inspired by biological concepts.

Abstract: Multimedia files, including compressed video, image, or audio files, are widely spread nowadays with the use of smart phones and the easy access to the wireless networks. The use of smart phones has influenced everyone’s life, and related technical problems would play import roles in life sciences and technologies. Intelligent techniques for multimedia communications would be the main theme of this session. These techniques may include multimedia compression, multimedia retrieval, multimedia security, multimedia transmission, and emerging topics for multimedia communications. With the inclusion of intelligent techniques like swarm intelligence or machine learning, the highly complicated problems for multimedia communications would be efficiently resolved. We welcome submissions with the topics relating to this session.

Abstract: A wearable and unobtrusive device is one of interests in the recent industries, such as human healthcare, sports, welfare, and rehabilitation. The devices have various sensors detecting physical parameters such as pressure, displacement, bending angle, and vibration. With these sensor technologies, human life support systems for improving quality of life can collect the information, which are human motion and vital signs, and use the data for decision-making without human intervention. This session focuses on the sensing techniques and applications to support human life. The topics in this session include, but are not limited to, sensors, actuators, devices, electronics, multi-sensor fusion, sensor systems, and intelligent system with machine learning.

LifeTech 2020 welcomes proposals of Organized Sessions which are related to up-to-date and cross-field topics, except Regular Session Topics.

People who propose Organized Session will be required to submit the following five materials;

  1. Organized Session Title
  2. Chair and Co-chair (max 2 persons)
  3. 5 keywords treated in the OS for paper submission systems
  4. More than 2 reviewers for the session
  5. Abstract of Organized Session (about 100 words in English)
